IRDI is looking for interns to contribute to its projects in Zambia. We have a wide and varied selection of positions available – please view the complete list on our Internship Positions page. We welcome people from different backgrounds and levels of experience. The only requirements are that you are open-minded and passionate about getting involved, just as we are. We like interns to be involved in more than one project at a time as new people always bring fresh ideas – this can all be discussed on arrival.
We welcome applications from local or foreign interns to work with us in Lusaka, Zambia or remotely. There is no maximum length of an internship but we encourage a minimum duration of 3 months to allow you to really get into a project. This is not set in stone and may vary depending on the project concerned.
We take seriously the development of our interns to ensure you gain as much from the work as we do. We also recruit paid staff from our interns as well as offering the possibility of becoming a shareholder in our commercial projects.
