Internship Experience: National Space Biomedical Research Institute

(WSU News) – Washington State University graduate student Ellen Bornhorst will work this summer at the Johnson Space Center in Houston in the Space Food Systems Laboratory. The NASA lab is responsible for space food and package research and development. Bornhorst will conduct research to develop high-quality, nutritious, safe and palatable foods for humans in space.

The biological and agricultural engineering major is one of 20 students selected nationwide for the National Space Biomedical Research Institute 10-week summer internship program.
