
Pryor Thanks Arkansas Summer Interns
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mark Pryor today thanked twelve Arkansas students who are interning in his Washington, D.C. office.
“Our internship program is a great opportunity for Arkansas students to see first-hand what it’s like to work in the U.S. Senate,” Pryor said. “I hope this experience will give them a better understanding of civic duty and volunteerism and encourage them to continue serving our state and nation.”
During their five-week internship, the students have assisted Senator Pryor with constituent services, legislative activities, communications, and administrative responsibilities. Each intern has also spent one day a week volunteering at a food kitchen.
The following students are interning in Pryor’s Washington, D.C. office:
Melvin Clayton of Pine Bluff is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, majoring in English.
Nathan Coulter of Little Rock is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, majoring in Political Science and Economics.
Hanna Hearnsberger of Little Rock is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, majoring in Communication Disorders.
Trevor Freemyer of Stuttgart is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, majoring in Agriculture Business.
Autumn Lewis of Joplin, Missouri is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, majoring in Political Science and Economics.
Benjamin Mackey of Little Rock is a first-year student at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville School of Law.
Caroline McGibbony of Little Rock is a senior at Lyon College, majoring in Political Science and Spanish.
Courtney Smith of Little Rock is a second-year student at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Law School.
Nathaniel Smith of Helena is a senior at Arkansas State University, majoring in History.
Tim Tucker of Wynne is a graduate of the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville with a degree in Political Science and History.
Ryland Walt of Altheimer is a senior at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, majoring in Biology.
Brittany Webb of Jonesboro is a junior at Hendrix College, majoring in Political Science and History.
