Internship Experience: Equality Maine
(Bowdoin News) – Bowdoin junior Lex Horwitz was recently presented with an award for outstanding volunteer service to the organization by EqualityMaine, a statewide LGBT advocacy organization.
“As development intern at EqualityMaine, Lex planned and executed EQME’s first Dine OUT for Equality event last summer,” EqualityMaine printed on the gala’s program. “Under Lex’s leadership, Dine OUT was a resounding success with 44 participating restaurants in 17 towns and cities across the state. This one-day event raised $15,000!”
