Archival Arrangement and Preservation Intern with the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art
The internship involves introductory–level archival processing and preservation work on the historical papers of artists or records of art galleries and arts organizations, such as surveys and inventories, preliminary organization and arrangement, and basic preservation work on document–based collections, artwork, photographs, and audio–visual formats.
The Archives of American Art has opportunities for internships throughout the year for both undergraduate and graduate students. Internships encourage students to explore careers related to archival, information management, curatorial, and art history fields.
